Farm Safety
Much of the region Safe Kids Grand Forks serves is rural. Nearly one million U.S. children under 19 live on farms or ranches, including many in North Dakota and Minnesota. Each year, roughly 70 children ages 19 and under die from farm injuries, and about 150,000 more are hurt in preventable incidents.
To raise awareness, Safe Kids Grand Forks and Ag Country support Farm and Summer Safety Camps in and around our area, often in spring and/or fall.
